Coop & Condo Video Interview Series
We wrote an article about the “5 Top Resources for Board Members.” The article lists the top five resources for co-op and condo board members. However, these resources are frequently highlighting the same companies, laws, vendors, and services.
We launched a video interview series that brings an interesting and informative twist to the managers and operators of multifamily buildings. Many of the experts in our interview series are a little unusual and not as often talked about. This includes, but is not limited to new or “fairly new” laws, new services, and services and vendors that we find interesting.
To date, we have published the following four video interviews and here’s a short introduction to these amazing individuals:
Bill Weidner is a NY Real Estate Broker who represents sellers of multifamily and multifamily mixed use property types. He has decades of experience in the real estate industry. Bill is the creator and host of the Realty Speak podcast. He is also the co-founder of KeepMyGas, a company that informs, educates and facilitates the processes to comply with NYC Local Law 152, Periodic Inspection of Gas Piping Systems.
Carol Shenk is the account executive with SageWater, North America's pipe replacement specialist. Besides being more efficient and cost-effective, occupants can comfortably stay put during the repiping process. Old buildings have old plumbing. We often hear of major leaks that result in huge disasters, which could have been prevented by being proactive instead of reactive.
Concetta Raz is a real estate professional with decades of experience in property management, real estate development, and real estate brokerage. She is the founder and owner of Upward On, a Talent Acquisition group specializing in searching for and placing resources in the real estate industry. Concetta places talents in everything from superintendents, property managers, to marketing and other business executives for property managers and real estate brokerage firms.
Izzy Friedman is a field manager, technician, and project manager with EnTech Boiler Controls. EnTech has next generation boiler controls that are monitored remotely and provide huge savings. The controls are a solution to the “open window syndrome” that is way to frequent in New York City buildings in the winter. All buildings with a building efficiency letter grade below “C,” which is most buildings, would definitely benefit from EnTech’s control to reduce their carbon output.
We’re using the hashtag #NYCApartmentBuildingChat, please follow it and also our company’s business page, The Folson Group where we post all the video interviews.
